Riverside Cottage

Refurbished at the beginning of 2011, Riverside cottage is fully central heated, has a washing machine and dishwasher. It sleeps eight, with one double room with an extra single, one room with two doubles, a twin bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The ground floor has a large kitchen/dining room with a wood burning stove and patio doors onto a sunny enclosed courtyard, at the rear of the property.

The comfortable sitting room, with open fire, looks out onto the garden, sloping down to the river. There is a downstairs cloakroom with plenty of room for boots and coats, a WC and a washhand basin. Available February to mid September.

The cottages are in one of the most idyllic spots in the area, with their own enclosed gardens and off road parking. They are very quiet; although next to the estate sawmill, they are only subject to low level noise during working hours. They both have outhouses for storing bikes, golf clubs etc. We use them to store your wood, coal and the dustbins.

Both Cottages are well equipped; the power is supplied by generator, so they are not reliant on mains power! There are gas cookers, fridges, television/video, microwaves, telephone, water is heated by an oil-fired boiler. They have open log/coal fires. We supply duvets, bedlinen, towels, wood and coal for the fires and diesel for the generator. A spare bed and /or cot is available.

A gate in the rear courtyard opens between the gardens of the two cottages so they can be easily interconnected. They are ideal rented together for a large group or two families. The reception rooms in Riverside cottage allow for up to ten people so they can eat and relax together.
